The second night, I started up a campfire (because it’s mandatory that you have one if camping. Non negotiable) and roasted up some Hot Dogs. Had buns and ketchup of course. My second camp movie was “The Last of the Mohicans” which is always great, but out camping…spectacular.

Some morning views and breakfast before I left…I meant to take a picture of the three pancakes I made before I ate them. They were just too good apparently.

Some pictures of the general layout of the campground. I also did my usual thing where I watch a movie. “The Eagle Has Landed” always good. And I made sure my fire died out before bed.

I made soup for dinner (since it’s quick) Vegetable and Beef stew from Campbell’s. I was advised to come to this area armed, due to bear activity, so I did. Later that night I had a Guinness (wish I brought another) “Sweeter than buttermilk and stronger than tea” as they say. And I had a fire.

A vintage 1954 Dodge M37 army truck, in faded olive drab, sits crooked in a parking lot among modern cars. It is an old warhorse taking up some considerable space.

Good to hear. I myself am a solo camper, so I really wouldn’t like someone coming up to my campsite like that. Thought I’d just add my two “tents” in anyway.

If you don’t mind me chiming in…Yeah, that’s definitely creepy. I’d have probably relocated.

Dinner was a test of the MiniMo, I bought two of these Mountain House meals. One Dinner, one Breakfast. The Beef Stroganoff was Ok, the Biscuits and Gravy…I‘ve made better.

Historical reenactment is getting rather weird.

Calling this grotesque doesn’t even begin to cover it. It’s dehumanizing, cruel, and emblematic of a sick mindset that poisons our country. I am beyond ashamed that people like this are part of our national conversation.
