FWIW this kind of seems like a rare bad day for Trump at SCOTUS, in that the only ruling that went in his favor was the one that gives an unprecedented and incredible new amount of presidential authority that can absolutely be used by a Democratic successor against everyone he hired.

This really is the crux of my whole long-standing point that what truly matters to liberals isn't policy but just good vibes. Obama is the liberal god-king because it just felt good to have him as president. It felt good to kick Trump out. "Kamala=Joy!" They all want to feel good again. That's it.
it's also one of the areas i keep in mind when people say "dems ARE getting better!". you have to ask "on which issues? compared to what, when, who?" i hate hillary clinton's guts, but it's just a matter of fact that dem leadership are now *less* ambitious than her in 2016 on medicare expansion.

Investors just are not rational actors. The market is so distorted by moral hazard, by endless bailouts, by legal money laundering enabled by low taxes on capital gains, that it has nothing to do with the actual finances involved anymore. Tesla was a warning of this future, not an aberration.
