[Benoit Blanc during a Reacher Christmas episode crossover] Listen, son, I myself am of the conviction that violence is the crude weapon of an incurious mind, but I will admit that my gigantic friend here makes the most convincing argument I've yet heard on the virtues of expediency through force.
[benoit blanc in true detective] now i know you think time is a flat circle, but if i may, you’re thinking of a clock

Again I'm reminded that fiction is bound by what's plausible but reality is not.

You're likely not going to see it because the people working on it moved everything to a fucking Discord, but Outrun2006Tweaks has been dramatically updated, VASTLY improving sharpness, text resolution, widescreen support, higher framerates, and restores online.

The “you just don’t like AI because you don’t understand it” argument is completely demolished whenever I post about this nuance because everyone resoundingly agrees and supports this version. People understand AI. They understand what they don’t like about it. They are not ignorant.
(AI actually has been used in science and medicine for decades and is incredibly good at doing things like finding cancer that can’t be seen with the human eye but that is a completely different type of AI then we’re all angry about it and we shouldn’t discuss them in the same conversations TBH)
Talk to the people who would use this for dream use cases — the cancer scientists, the people who want to make material goods out of it — and they will tell you it’s either a marginally useful if unreliable trick or completely useless. It has produced 0% of the utopian products promised.

There is no functional difference between people looking for rampant voter fraud and ghost hunters.
BREAKING NYT:

A month after the Trump admin declared without evidence that thousands of noncitizens had illegally registered to vote in Nevada, DHS officials were unable to substantiate the claim — finding just 185 potential anomalies, not the 16,000 claimed last month.
Homeland Security Unable to Prove That Thousands of Noncitizens Registered to Vote in Nevada
The Department of Homeland Security told Nevada election officials that it identified 185 “potential” noncitizens on the state’s voter rolls, not the nearly 16,000 it claimed last month.

This is why we don't trust any online storage. Mayyyybe you can trust Mega, but you should ALWAYS have an offline backup.
I've never seen such an effort to censor a document as I have the Amnesty International report on gender critical groups because of JK Rowling.

They removed the report from the Wayback Machine and now I got a DMCA strike on my Google Drive for having it. It was deleted and removed from my account.

Because men of courage do not slay dragons, they ride them.
DRAGONSLAYER (1981, VOD, #film)

Why the FUCK didn't I know this existed??? A magnificent dark action fantasy set in a grim age of mendacity, brutality, and despair. An elderly wizard and his grasping apprentice do battle with a vicious dragon and a rotten system. A+

Absolutely WILD to say "no writers were replaced" to the face of one of the writers you replaced!
Saber PR responded to my post by saying that the story was written by people and no writers were replaced, buuuuut also that the game uses AI generated text and voices. C’mon man lmao

Life's tough out here these days for those of us that can't digest anything with soy in it.
Today's shout-out is to Wegmans, for being the only local place to carry precooked breakfast sausage links that don't have soy in them. Decently priced, too!
