I marched in my city’s parade for the Prime Beef Festival today. Yes, that’s a real thing. The theme was “Red, White & Beef.” Also a real thing.

Yesterday I paid a company to remove four trees. They left an excavator at my house, so I guess I came out ahead.

Timber! My giant fir tree was damaged in a tornado and is coming down today. There is a bee hive in the tree, so that adds an extra layer of excitement.

My city renovated our downtown and gave me one of the old street lamps to use at my house. It came with the globes, too. It needs some love, but it is beautiful!
