Agree but maybe remove the R and the E?
Great that Burnham is looking at options to recast Britain’s relationship with the EU and undo the damage of Brexit. But he will surely soon find that there is only one option that works for Britain politically, economically and strategically.

Voters can respond, as they did when Thatcher was PM, to a leader willing to take tough decisions in the short term that seem to have a pay off in the long term. If Burnham can combine his likeability with her toughness--not an easy trick to pull off--then Labour has at least a chance of reelection.

Brexit Proponents have now long argued every agreement with the EU amounts to betrayal of Brexit, however technical and small. With Rejoin coming back to the political debate in the UK, they have little room left to escalate their rhetoric.
