The Putin-Trump diesel deal is disastrous and illegal — but it is also a sign of the desperation of both men, one fearing to lose a war, the other to lose an election.

Italian PM Giorgia Meloni tells the Senate: Trump’s diesel deal with Putin “legitimises Moscow while it bombs Ukraine”.

“The surge in fuel prices is due primarily to the war in Iran, not the conflict in Ukraine.”

Trump, his family, and his friends stand to make billions from a deal with Putin.

I know this is a "shocker" to many, but it is painfully obvious by now. There is only one obstacle - Ukraine.

Why Trump’s Russian Diesel Deal Is Unlikely to Lower Fuel Costs
President Trump’s deal with Russia will probably not lower diesel prices that have soared because of his war with Iran and Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries.

By framing diesel prices as a national security crisis and promulgating an agreement that on its face doesn’t release a lot of diesel to market the path is cleared for POTUS to suspend Graham sanctions …
Putin's envoy Dmitriev said that the agreement to supply Russian diesel to the U.S. "opens the door to new joint projects."

Moscow is already discussing other areas of economic cooperation with Washington, he said.

Trump Hands Victories to Putin, Who Offers More War in Return
Russia has reaped a diesel deal and an increase in U.S. pressure on Ukraine as President Trump’s political needs align with his longstanding inclinations toward Russia.

Did everyone notice yesterday that the president admitted the entire "Russian diesel deal" thing is complete bullshit, none of the fuel is actually coming to the U.S. and obviously never was, and with a minimum of 40% of Russian refining capacity offline it probably does not exist at all.
Doocy: "There are some Republicans in the Senate who are upset about this diesel deal."

Trump: "That's a diesel deal that's going to be released into the world…They're not releasing that to us, they're releasing that to the entire world."
