AI firms want you to believe their fraud bot is alive so they won’t be held responsible for the fraud bot’s crimes. But there is no gray area here, they hold the on/off switches in their very human, very prosecutable hands.

Trump has already usurped the powers of Congress over spending, tariffs, and war and defied the judicial branch when it told him to stop. Yet the stock market has surged.

Is it possible that investors — especially big investors — don’t particularly like democracy?

The Big Tech oligarchs pushing AI want the rest of us to think we’re powerless to stop it.

They’re wrong. We have the power to rein in AI — before it’s too late.

Obviously there’s something going on with AI breaches in the last few days, and I can’t quite figure out how bad it is, but it is really weird that AI industry people keep saying in public “it’s us and we don’t know how to stop it.” Because that is not going to end well for them, eventually.

One of the great injustices of our time is that non-profits & charities must succeed 100% of the time in order to get meagre crumbs from the government. No room for innovation, no room for taking risks. And yet, the tech sector is like "MAKE CARS FLY?! MAYBE?!" & get flooded with government funding.
Imagine another job where you can blow a hundred million on a failed project and still show up for work the next day like you have done great work. AI company too I guess.

The threat of rogue AI agents taking unauthorized actions within our financial institutions, utilities, health systems and more has long since stopped being a hypothetical.

If Congress doesn't swiftly act, these already significant risks will only get worse.

I’m not sure people realise that value is getting DESTROYED. Not just transferred to the corrupt and undeserving. Like thieves melting down jewellery. The world is haemorrhaging regulatory capacity, though hopefully with AI we can rebuild that soon, & better. The ecosystem though…and people’s lives…

Now, none of that is surprising in itself. What I do find bewildering is going to this much trouble just to sell some crappy ceramic flowers. At some point the economics has all gone to hell if producing AI ads this long and this elaborate is actually profitable.
