Flavio Bolsonaro, the defeated right-wing Brazilian presidential candidate has fled to the US. Bolsonaro it is rumoured will be granted political asylum in the US. Why? Because like his father Jair & Trump he cannot accept democracy & losing an election. Some populists!

Wondering how he reconciles that take with the fact that the US State Department just helped relocate Flavio Bolsonaro to the US to avoid the administering of justice in Brazil.
I just think Matt's wrong about this. We're at a point in our technological development where a ton of problems spill over national borders--if Flavio Bolsonaro burns down the Amazon, that will flood houses in Miami.

One should not let this slip away:

One of the reasons why the majority of Brazilians voted Lula this weekend *is* MAGA and the closeness between Trump and the Bolsonaros.

Americans can start fixing the toxicity of Washington in a week’s time.

So the Trump administration secretly and illegally extracted Bolsonaro from Brazil. It's not a government but organized crime. www1.folha.uol.com.br/poder/2026/1...

If the news of Bolsonaro's son fleeing to the US is indeed true...shows how cowardly the new far-right is.

Compare that to Lula who chose to go to jail out of respect for the democratic Brazilian constitution that the workers party fought so hard for.
