I did wonder about that, since most of what you see up here is just harl. They love to slap that on and then throw the sharpest stones available on it so they can cut the hands, arms and faces of as many children and other passersby as possible. :-(

Seton Palace beside Seton Collegiate Church overlap of my old watercolour reconstruction of medieval building (Harl washed) over modern Adams style house. Put gatehouse (on Right) onto foundations uncovered in 2018 dig. Was pleased to find gateway had ground level gun loops. #Watercolourpainting
