I’ve made a graph here showing the £ values based on % of GDP using IFS data (title says 1955 but social security only started being properly differentiated in 1978). You can see the sharp rises in early Thatcher, 1990s and GFC recessions and Covid, with current values less than 2010-2011:

What's kind of funny about it is I'm reflexively defensive about it until I realize that their pop culture is both wildly fragmented compared to mine AND the mass pop culture is incredibly flattened such that I don't think it's as differentiated from 15 years ago as, say 1995 was to 2010.

Yes that is a million times worse than a guy with the same name, but clearly differentiated on the ballot, with ranked choice on top. It's a non issue. They deliberately make elections as unfair as possible, then whine that they are so mistreated. They are lying sacks of s**t.

you can't scan it and know what you're looking at. it takes immense brain power to process what you're seeing. it just all looks the same, nothing is differentiated enough. it's the opposite of what a noti tab needs to be for anyone who gets more than a handful of notifications. the tabs are ok tho.

generalist class design doesn't have to be boring but it is kind of an easy solution to let everyone do everything. then again 7th saga has 2-person parties and its characters are highly differentiated, so i accept no excuses

I somehow agree even though what I prefer them to dare is to wear lingerie.
Also, two types or make up should be differentiated: 1/ touch up (anti reflections,...) and 2/ make up (red lipstick,...).
On that aspect, I am a bit traditional with men, I'm fine with 1, not so much 2.
