# polyWatch

I saw a post that reminded me of the time I used PolyWatch to buff out a used scuffed-up Zelda 3DS I purchased. The original 3DS has an automotive clear coat, so it polishes extremely nicely.

In polywatch we trust

keep in mind it's not prelaminated, though granted my rebuild goes ok i can give you my old gba sp plastic lens. in remarkably good shape given what it went through. it's got a couple small scuffs but nothing that some polywatch or novus can't get out

most of the damage is done by the toothbrush, of course, you'll wanna use a microfiber cloth or shammy. but even then, there's better stuff (novus 1, polywatch)

i filed down the designs with a nail file and a flat head screwdriver, and used nail polish remover for the yellow part! after everything was off i spent a good 2 hours polishing the shell with polywatch to get rid of the scratches! so worth it! 💗

Yeeeeeep that's what I did too! Problem with the color is that it's got a curved screen so there's nothing you can do...

I've been considering trying to buff it out with some Polywatch but I also know that, if that goes wrong, you got an even worse screen 🫠

Excellent. A little Polywatch will clean that crystal up easy. Thanks for the pod, been listening since the first episode ✌️

Flitz is a good alternative, and polywatch is going for acrylic watch crystals, and is cheap. Amazon scalpers are the worst.

Pics of the shell cleaning, service sticker and the before and after on the fan and jewel! Fan was absolutely filthy before, and for the jewel I discovered ‘Polywatch’ years ago and swear by it!

i have polywatch which might actually help a little but... idk there's a point where the plastic is just fucked from deep scratches that you can't buff out

This is my favourite part - polishing the Jewel! I use ‘PolyWatch’ and a dense fiber cloth to hand polish all the scratches out. It took 2 rounds to get the bigger ones and make ot shine like a mirror :D

Get a tube of polywatch. It will take out most scratches with just a soft cloth and a bit of rubbing.

That watch crystal is likely some sort of hesalite, which is a plastic. Grab yourself some Polywatch on Amazon and you can remove at least 95% of the scratches.

A little elbow grease with some Polywatch and a Cape Cod cloth plus a cheap sailcloth strap I had laying around, and hey, not bad for $55.

The top of the shell has a few light scratches. I was thinking of trying PolyWatch, but I once bought a "miracle" scratch remover off #aliexpress and thought I'd try that. It kind of works, could be better but can't complain for the money. Also, didn't need to polish for 30mins like with poly.

Done! Replaced the lens (with a flat one, could not find a bulgy one), could not really remove the minor scratches (with polywatch). On to the next project! #retrorevival #retrogaming #gamegear #sega

That looks CRYSTAL clear. Far better results than with polywatch, it seems

Good to know! I went for/recommended PolyWatch because I've seen it work for others but could probably pick up some naphtha as well.

Es la misma maquina que en los 80. Tienes 7 años de pila y reloj para toda la vida. Ademas con polywatch puedes pulir de vez en cuando el dial y mantenerlo sin rayajos.

Honestly, im an hour into it, and im already can make.. quite harsh review on it. Minus scratched up lenses by the previous owner, but there's nothing a glob of polywatch cannot fix~
I'll just say, that josalt were right in his "the cameras are nauseating" They are indeed delayed, like cardbardVR.
