Solidarity with public sector colleagues on the pickets today. From a household with an @ifut.bsky.social member, a @forsatradeunion.bsky.social rep, and two children taught by INTO members. And yes, Jack Chambers, we too are members of the public.

#digitalpicket

And with that, a reminder to observe the #digitalpicket tomorrow if you're an @ifut.bsky.social member, work in a HEI in Ireland, or if posting on Bluesky/ #spéirghorm can reasonably be regarded as part of your job.

#digitalpicket

It would, I think, be worthwhile if those of us engaged in the work stoppage today, and the forthcoming strike days on the 14th & 21st (if they go ahead), were to observe the digital picket during those times.

Posting is public engagement, and public engagement is part of your job. #digitalpicket

Thanks! I can't claim the credit for the #digitalpicket - it was a @ucu.org.uk thing on Twitter for years.

It's another day of striking on the #DigitalPicket along with my fellow members of @sheffielducu.bsky.social - the scale and pace of the continuous restructures by management are disruptive for students and staff. Read more on ucu.group.shef.ac.uk/industrial-a...

Hello from the #DigitalPicket line. I'm simultaneously disappointed by senior management's communication around negotiations and impressed with all the amazing @sheffielducu.bsky.social colleagues that have been on the picket lines and continue to engage in constructive discussions Solidarity!

On strike again today, though it is ##DigitalPicket for me being so far away from Sheffield. Solidarity with all the amazing colleagues that have been on the picket lines for @sheffielducu.bsky.social you can read here about why we are on strike ucu.group.shef.ac.uk/industrial-a...

So dismayed by the lack of resolution - industrial action at UoS continues 🥹 #DigitalPicket @ucu.org.uk As a researcher, striking for me is about mitigating the endless restructuring of, & redundancies for, our excellent professional services colleagues, whose labour makes our research possible 💪🏽

Day 2! People out in force on the picket lines 🙌 Nice to see a relatively active #DigitalPicket too @sheffielducu.bsky.social www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

@sheffielducu.bsky.social Do the University’s financial reports support the need to make job cuts? #DigitalPicket #Sheffield

Heartbroken to be on strike (again) - never an easy decision 👍 We cannot accept a university in which staff jobs, student education, and research progress are under threat by major (and financially unnecessary) change management processes. @sheffielducu.bsky.social #Sheffield #DigitalPicket

A last addition to the info for students on my door before I go on #UCUStrike tomorrow. I'll be maintaining the #DigitalPicket, strike tweeting when I'm able to, and looking after my mental health as best I can.

This may be a huge subtweet but, c’mon fellow archaeology phd students, #DigitalPicket

Southampton didn’t meet the threshold but in solidarity with striking unis (especially QM where I TAd last term & is threatening 100% pay deduction for working to contract), I’ll be observing #DigitalPicket for pensions & 4 fights - the future of academia. Cat instead! #UCUstrike

Anyone who studies vegetables or rabbits and comments on this tweet is breaking the #DigitalPicket. Fact.
