Parasite conservation sounds like a counterintuitive idea, but actually there are lots of reasons why this is important for the long term sustainability of biodiversity and ecosystem processes. #parasitology #ticks #ectoparasite 🪱🧪🌍

My very first BlueSky post. I was thinking I would ask "what's your diagnosis", but with zero followers to date, I doubt I'd get many takers.

One older nematode finding aka 'when you looking for parasite a but get parasite b instead'. I looked for gregarines, result was negative but I got this beautiful Rhabditis sp. from coelom of Lumbricus terrestris 🌿 #invertebrate 🧪 #parasitology

I drew a new diagram of the salmon louse life cycle for my PhD thesis! It's meant to be more intuitive and show more info about the adult stages, while still printer-friendly.

I figured I'd Creative Commons it once it's fully approved. 😊
