Today is my clean date. 25 years ago today I was a homeless heroin addict.

The first thought I had that morning when I woke was “I don’t want to do this anymore”, and I have not done an illegal drug or drank alcohol since. Life is tough but still beyond my wildest dreams.

Witch’s Serenity Prayer Great Mystery, woven through root and star, Grant me the wisdom to know which tides are mine to ride and which are mine to release. Grant me the courage to tend the small fires within my reach, to work my will with clarity, and to shape what may yet be shaped. Grant me the grace to accept the turning of the Wheel, the changing of the seasons, and the truths that arrive whether invited or not. May I trust in transformation, honor both shadow and light, and remember that every ending feeds the soil of a new beginning. With open hands and steady heart, I release what no longer serves, embrace what is becoming, and walk my path in wonder. So may it be.
