This is what I’ve been knitting between Fight the Oligarchy rally stops.

Oversized Seasons Cardigan by Ozetta.

Splurged big-time on the yarn (🫣) but honestly after holding this thing for weeks I’m happy I did. Woolerton Estates in Fluffy. #KnitSky
Beginning of the knit project on a tray table. Two needles with about ten rows of yarn for the collar of a sweater. The beginning of a cardigan on knitting needles. It’s the shoulders down to the armpit. No sleeves yet. The cardigan, knit down a little further now, with four skeins of yarn behind it. Deco posing as a yarn model. One of my current WIPs for #WIPWednesday . The pattern is the Seine Socks. I'm really enjoying knitting this first one. I've turned the heel and am working on the gusset decreases.

I spend an inordinate amount of time staring at the sky, just watching colors splash across as the light changes. I set an alarm to remind me about a half-hour before sunset, and I highly recommend you do this too!

#WIPWednesday 🧶 I'm currently knitting (among other things!) the Hand in Hand Cowl, a great pattern, easy to pick up & put down, perfect for TV/ travel/waiting room knitting. I'm using Louisa Harding yarns - Pittura and Amitola - both single ply, silky, and colourful😁 www.ravelry.com/patterns/lib...
A partly knit cowl in garter-in-the-round, with two balls of yarn beside it. The left ball is mostly used up Louisa Harding Amitola in Embrace - a merino silk blend in many colours including pinks teal, brown and purple, in a long colour-change - this is used to work the purl rounds. Next to it is Louisa Harding Pittura, a variegated merino bamboo blend, also using many short blips of colour in autumnal shades with occasional turquoise and lime green; this is used to work the knit rounds. The whole effect is of a bright autumnal melange. The Pittura I bought to try out for a design and then found it had been discontinued, so it sat in my stash for a couple of year waiting for me to figure out what to do with it. The Amitola is one of several scraps left over from the NightShift cowl and shawl; I hope to use them all up on this cowl.

Stede’s smile became less bright, but he was clearly fighting to stay positive. “Mary. I meant to tell you about it yesterday and then got derailed by the other thing. My family is here for a post-Christmas winter break. Mary, Doug, and the kids. And Mary’s friend Evelyn and her service Maine coon, Ned. The whole crowd, really.” “Oh.” “I didn’t tell you initially because I wasn’t sure it would matter, and your people are arriving today too, aren’t they?” “Are they?” Ed was kind of doubtful. He may have given up looking at his phone because he’d been occupied in the best way for the last several days, but several was the key thing here. His vacation was only meant to be three days, and that time was apparently already gone. “Fuck,” he groaned, and then giving into the need to be dramatic about it, he flopped backward onto Stede’s pillows and pulled the wonderfully soft blanket over his head. Stede sat down on the bed next to him and leaned in. “I can tell them you’re sick.” “We have a really shitty culture of presenteeism. I’d still need to give my talk.” “Lost snowshoeing, but we have a search party out.” “Kidnapped by Mothman,” Ed suggested. “Nah, Izzy would never believe it.” “You could say you need more time.” Stede offered the suggestion with a tentativeness that made him sound like he was worried about overstepping.
