♥️ Welcome to the by far most beautiful Christmas shop - says the sign at the entrance of ‘Der Weihnachtsladen”, located at the lovely Christmas tree farm in Werder, Havel, Germany.🎄 The picture was taken during the blue hour in the evening & nature is presenting a wonderful dark blue sky above the shop. Hundreds of little lights are illuminating the huge pine tree behind the shop as well as the wooden shop front. Its open green glass lattice door is inviting visitors to enter and you find yourself in a little Christmas wonderland.

You see people visiting the Munich Christmas market, drinking mulled wine & punch, enjoying some ginger bread and other delicious foods, buying beautiful decorations for their homes and enjoying the cozy Christmas atmosphere. The roots of the “Münchner Christkindlmarkt” located in the heart of Munich at the Marienplatz, date back to the 14th century, to the so-called St. Nicholas markets. The Marienplatz (square) has been at the centre of the city since Munich was founded by Henry the Lion in 1158. In the background of the market you see the splendiferous ornately decorated Neue Rathaus (New Town Hall) with a late afternoon blue sky and some little white clouds above it.

With its fairytale setting and sparkling lights the Christmas market in the idyllic park of Bodelschwingh Water Castle, is a perfect symbiosis of historical ambiance & festive mood. Depicted is the castle in the background in the afternoon hours, with a blue sky and some white clouds behind it, pictured from a bridge leading to the water castle. In the foreground several Christmas trees in all sizes can be seen, the far right tree has a big red ribbon on the top, all trees are decorated with red & golden Christmas bulbs and red and green wrapped presents in different sizes are lying underneath the trees, waiting to get unpacked. A reindeer family is standing snuggled together in front of of them, the little ones are wearing little red decorative ribbons around their neck and the parents are wearing thick red checked woolen scarfs. Further information: The beautiful Bodelschwingh Renaissance-style water castle with an English landscape park and a spacious outer castle is one of the last facilities in the Ruhr area that are still privately owned. Without interruption, the castle has been used by the builder's family as a residence since 1302. The farm buildings of the Vorburg served for centuries for agriculture. Changes in the agricultural structure have also left traces here. Buildings that are no longer needed for agricultural operations have been converted into residential and commercial premises in the last 25 years, so that a communal, diverse living space has been created on the castle grounds. As part of events, Vorburg and Park are regularly accessible to the public several times a year. Eataly combines an Italian market & winery with multiple food stalls & little restaurants. It is a nice & easygoing place to enjoy Italian Christmas spirit in Munich. You can see the outside of the flat, stretched, one story building housing the Eataly market hall. Three steps, disconnected by grey-blue walls with Eataly written on them, are leading to the restaurant, that has a full glass front letting plenty of daylight inside. As the picture was taken during dawn you see hundreds of little Christmas lights sparkling inside through the windows, creating a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The outside is illuminated by festive sparkling Christmas lights as well. Branches of a tree on the left side of the picture set a beautiful accent to the cloudy sky and the sunset is creating a beautiful light orange touch to the fading blue of the daylight and the clouds. It’s a beautiful, calm and serene scenery.
