I saw this barred owl yesterday as well, just feet from where the egret was hanging about.

I'm not entirely sure what it was doing, I took this photo from directly below so it was essentially laying down on the branch and looking at me.

I took one of my favorite photos last night. While looking for a scissortail, this eastern meadowlark perched itself atop a nearby tree and sang a beautiful song just long enough for me to position it directly in front of the nearly-full Moon. #Photography #BirdOfTheDay #Birds
