A comic page. The comic is in greyscale, sketchily shaded. The title, Final Girl Circuit, is scrawled on the top right in red letters. Panel 1: an empty room. It's clearly a large, old house; an open door has an ornate frame. A carved pumpkin grins from atop a closed piano. SFX/heavy breathing+footsteps: Thud. Hah- Hah- Thud. Panel 2: someone from behind, running up stairs. They're cut off at the waist, showing trainers, long legs in high socks and very short gym shorts. SFX/heavy breathing+footsteps: Hah- hah- thud. thud. Panel 3: A closeup of eyes. Large eyes with heavy brows and a barbell through one. They look nervous and shifty. Shaggy dark hair clings to sweaty skin. SFX/heavy breathing: Hah- Hah- Panel 4: The runner is seen in full. A tall, thin man with long legs, running and looking back as he reaches for something. He's wearing a t-shirt that reads "Camp Catton". SFW/heavy breathing+running: Hah- hah- hah- thud A comic page, also in greyscale. Panel 1: A key being jammed into an ornate, old-fashioned lock by a hand. SFX/key being turned: rattle- click! Panel 2: A door opens to reveal a dark bedroom. A 4-poster bed is in the middle, in front of a fireplace with a mirror and ornate sconces above. SFX/door opening: creeeeeak Panel 3: The runner- Felix- bent over, catching his breath. His eyes are closed, hands on his knees, looking sweaty and relieved. SFX/heavy breathing: Hah- hah- hah- Panel 4: A window and curtain. A dark shape lurks behind the curtain. Panel 5: Zooming in on the shape. More can be seen. A face with large, dark eyeholes? Panel 6: Close in on the shape- which is a man in a hockey mask, peering from behind the curtain. Watching Felix intently.

enjoying Ellipsus' snippet tool, that's for sure... And Felix and Oliver are enjoying some, uh, private jet private time.

"C'mon, Ollie… Fancy some in-flight entertainment?" Ollie groaned, burrowing closer to Felix's neck for a few long seconds before pushing himself up and squinting down at Felix. "D'you know how I know I love you, Felix?" "I dunno." For a moment, Felix thought he might have misread the situation. It was too dim to see Oliver properly, and although he thought Ollie might be about to smile… He couldn't tell for sure. Felix did his best to look innocent, cocking his head to one side. "I make your heart race? Give you butterflies? I'm always on your mind?" "Nah, though you do, and you are…" Oliver rolled his shoulders with a grunt, moving to kneel beside Felix rather than half-sitting. He tugged his t-shirt off, tossing it to the floor in an uncharacteristically casual gesture. "But that just means I fancy you. Got another guess?"

A pair of men in matching outfits against a red background. Felix is tall and tanned, with shaggy brown hair and brown eyes. He's standing angled towards Oliver, with an arm around Oliver's shoulders. Ollie is shorter and pale, standing straight-on. He has a tattoo of a bite mark on his shoulder, a fading hickey in the middle of it. They're both wearing little collars with bow ties, matching cream underbust corsets and semi-transparent black side-tie trousers with nothing underneath. The lighting is stark, as if this is a photo taken with flash.

"God, you're so weird." Farleigh drawled, adjusting his kimono before drumming his fingers on the back of the sofa. "Can you relax? I swear… Okay, yes, I was being a little dramatic, but you can't blame me for taking that into consideration. I'm not a Care Bear, Oliver, and you were a spooky little psycho. So you can't blame me for being cautious. You showed up out of nowhere and got my incredibly boring, hetero cousin to swap teams- like, at one point I honestly thought maybe it was witchcraft- but so far you haven't, like… Gone all creepy, the way you used to." "Yeah. Um." Oliver really, reallly wanted a wormhole to open up and swallow him. Maybe he could just die of embarrassment. That also seemed like a good option. "I… I wasn't… I wasn't right back then. In the head. But that's no excuse for what I did to you- and I really am sorry for it. For everything I did. I think I… I saw Felix and lost my fucking mind. I did a lot of things I'm not proud of to stay near him, but none of it worked- it could never have worked." A VERY work in progress sketch showing Felix and Oliver together. Felix is smiling and Oliver is tucked under his arm, looking down at something.

Oliver and Felix's first proper fight... I was SO harrowed writing it I may have cried a bit...

#fanfic #ao3 #cattonquick
“Why would you do that to me, Felix?” Felix hadn't done anything to Oliver, except snog a bit and talk dirty. Oliver hadn’t even undressed; he hadn’t either, it was all PG-13. More importantly, he’d shown stupid Max exactly how lacking he was. Demonstrated that the real Oliver was a far cry from whatever imaginary Sexy Professor he'd concocted in that empty head of his. “Ollie, I don't... I didn’t do anything to you. It was Max, he was sticking his nose in- I didn't think-” “Yeah. You didn't fucking think, Felix, of course you didn’t think.” The tone wasn't great, but that wasn’t the end of the world, right? What was important was that Oliver would understand that it wasn't Felix's fault and they'd make up, they'd be fine. Ollie could never be angry with him, Oliver loved him, couldn't say no to him, was his patient and kind Ollie-love who'd look at him with a weary smile… And, yeah, actually, that smile was late. Felix wanted it to hurry the fuck up before he actually got worried. Oliver looked up at him. His eyes were horrors; as empty as marbles, corpse-eyes, and there was nothing sexy about being on the receiving end of that Great White Shark stare. Felix felt his own eyes welling up, hands clenching and unclenching by his sides. He wished he'd put a shirt on, because he was very aware that Oliver hadn’t even looked at his nipples once. That meant- despite his denials- this was bad. Throat-closing, gut-churning, knock-kneed terrible, in fact, so Felix couldn't talk. He may as well have glued his mouth shut. That was fine, though, because Oliver could talk, and Oliver had things to say. “You didn't think that maybe I wouldn't want one of my students to see… See that. You didn't think that I've told you- more than once- about how I kept my work and my personal life apart on purpose. You didn’t think about the meeting next term because Ware won't drop this fucking bias thing- and what if he finds out about this mess, Felix? I'd get fucking fired, but let me guess… You didn't think about how I love my job, you just decided that you wanted to teach Max a lesson so fuck everything else.” Oliver dropped his head again, shaking it in disbelief. Worse than the words was how quiet Oliver was. He wasn't yelling; his words felt like being fed steady spoonfuls of ground up glass. Felix was cold, arms now folded in an attempt to keep the chill at bay and hold himself together. “Fuck my consent, fuck our privacy, fuck everything I've worked for. Too bad, because Felix didn’t think.” This wasn't… It wasn’t fair. A childish protest, but it snarled in Felix's thoughts like wool on a barbed wire fence. Yeah, it wasn't fair. Oliver… Hadn’t Oliver said that he loved Felix entirely? No in spite of, just love, but now Ollie was acting like he hadn't known exactly how impulsive Felix was. In fact, he was admitting to knowing it. Of course you didn’t think… That was Felix Catton. If you looked up thoughtless in the dictionary, there'd be a picture of him right there. Why was he so pissy that Felix had just done… What Felix always did? Oliver knew what he was getting into, but now it was all Felix's fault? Felix felt his mouth shrink to a grim line, brows lowering so far that he could see their blurry shape like a vignette at the upper edge of his vision. As if Oliver was so perfect; if Ollie wasn't so determined to be civil, Max probably would have fucked off ages ago. Someone had to lay down the law; it wasn't Felix's fault that Oliver was so soft. He felt sulky and stupid, mumbling to himself instead of actually engaging. “Not my fault you care more about Max than me.” “You fucking what, Felix?”

The chain between Felix's cuffed wrists clinked as he moved, rattling against the bed frame as he nodded and did his best not to squirm. It was almost impossible.

A scene from Chapter 229 of my longfic, You're Almost Home Felix - a tall, slender, white cis man with brown eyes and shaggy brunette hair. He has pierced nipples and a tattoo of an angel wing curving along the right side of his ribs. He is wearing a silver engagement ring and chain necklace. Oliver- a small, stocky white cis man with short, dark brown hair and bright blue monolidded eyes. He is wearing a silver chain around his neck and a silver engagement ring. A greyscale drawing of Felix, lying on his back on a bed. The headboard is made of metal rails, and he has been handcuffed to them, arms lifted. There's a pillow under his head, his knees are raised and bent and his feet are flat on the mattress. Oliver is straddling him with his back to the viewer, one hand on Felix's knee and the other lifting his chin. Felix has large headphones on and has been blindfolded. He's smiling slightly, but a little unsure. They're both naked. Beneath the bed, a backpack lies on the floor, the zip slightly undone and something suspiciously dildo-shaped poking out of it.

Felix and Oliver are kissing in a bathtub in a darkened room, the only light coming from above them. They are both naked, sitting close together and facing each other with Oliver’s legs over Felix's hips. Their skin is shiny, but the bath hasn't got any water in it. Oliver’s stroking Felix's hair, while Felix has caught hold of Oliver’s silver chain necklace to pull him close. They're masturbating each other, although only Felix's dick is visible between them, held in Oliver's hand.

Artwork in the style of a Harlequin romance novel. Two men- one tall, one short- embrace. They both have brown hair, and the shorter one is staring at the other. The title, You're Almost Home, is written across them in ornate, red letters. The author's name, at the top of the page, is LEIFLITTER. The Ao3 logo is in the bottom right corner. The two men from the cover embrace, shirtless, in a sunny, grassy field. Overlaid text reads “I see you, Felix. Really see you- nobody else wants to look for too long, you're so bright, but I stared and stared until you were tattooed inside my fucking eyelids. You're not what they think you are, are you?” When Felix Catton was twenty he almost died of an accidental overdose, following the biggest betrayal of his young life. His best friend, Oliver Quick, had lied to him about everything. His family, his trauma... Is it any wonder that Felix went off the rails? Now Sir Felix Catton is approaching forty, married, and a father to three teenagers. He hasn't seen Oliver since their fight... But when his daughter, Harriet, wants him to have a word with her tutor, Felix finds himself face to face with Professor Oliver Quick. Oliver is older. Wiser. Sensible. He doesn't lie anymore. So why shouldn't they be friends again?
