Love when Mihawk DOESN'T know how to handle a situation. Whatcha gonna do now, edgelord? Gonna express affection as best you can? Gonna experience joy about it? Yeah that's what I thought.

Mihawk is holding a child the wrong way. The child has curly green hair and a little swirl in his eyebrow. Mihawk does not know what to do. Just staring the baby down. Shanks is reaching forward, saying "alright meemaw, not how you hold a pup.."

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! 🧡💚💜
I hope all of your Halloween festivities are half as awesome as the ones in @miss-pebbles.bsky.social 's fic A Part of Me! I had to illustrate the costume contest scene!
#zosan #ficart #digitalart #Halloween #zoro #sanji #nami #usopp #Franky #vivi #Kaya #onepiece
An illustration of the costume contest scene from the Halloween party in Pebbles' fic A Part of Me! Sanji, in full Jack Skellington costume, is at the end of a catwalk that leads from a DJ set up into the middle of the room. He is leaning down towards Zoro (who is dressed as Sally) and using one finger to tilt his chin up. Sanji is smiling, a little teasing, and his back is arched downward. He knows what he's doing. Nami is standing next to Zoro, waving to Sanji and recording his performance! More alt text for the background in the close ups

Sanji & Zoro are leaning against thr counter of a dorm communal kitchen. The counter behind them is covered in patches of matcha-green dough. The reason for this matcha mess sits on the right side of the counter; a steaming tray of EXTREMELY GREEN cinnamon rolls, complete with light green frosting! One is missing from the tray. Sanji is wearing a blue sweatshirt, blue flannel pj pants, & fluffy blue slippers. He is blushing, pointing to a piece of paper in his hand as he looks over at Zoro and asks: "Moss...? Did you make these... for me?" Zoro isn't meeting Sanji's gaze, instead staring at the piece of paper, the recipe he had worked so hard on, with hunched shoulders. He is trying to keep his expression neutral, but is blushing brightly, from his hairline to his ears and all the way down the back of his neck! It clashes with the green of his hair, as well as that of the matcha dough all over him.

Sketches of fishman Zoro from the fic Riptide! The top one(a very rough sketch that I will need to resize and reposition some parts of) is of him kneeling in front of Sanji, the bottom one is of him looking SO TENDERLY (definitely AT Sanji)

A simple, mostly black and white digital illustration. This is a spot illustration, so the text description of it is the text that surrounds it in the chapter, and I just realized that I probably shouldn't try to re-type the whole thing here. The same image, embedded into the fic on ao3

In an attempt to talk himself OUT of a situation, the poor cook seems to have backed himself INTO a corner!
Art for Ch.1 of The Salty Swallow by @maiaspen.bsky.social ! How does this unfortunate situation pan out? Why didn't Sanji just kick their skulls in? Link in comments...

The scene is set on a ship's deck, the wooden planks worn & weathered. In the foreground, there is a sack and a pile of items. The pile includes clothes, spice jars, & boning knives. The main focus is the group of figures. At the center, much to his dismay, is Sanji. He has his hands raised in a placating gesture as he looks nervously, forcing a smile, up at the figure looming over him. This figure is at least a few feet taller than Sanji, & very bulky. There are many jagged, broken spines protruding from the man's mottled skin, & a downright malicious smile that splits his face & bares yellowed, rotting teeth down at Sanji. His clothes are tattered and stained, so dirty that any colour has been long lost to browns, greens, and, concerningly, reds. The group of figures surrounding Sanji are fishmen, all more or less similarly dressed. This one, their leader, is a pufferfish fishman. Behind Sanji, we see another figure; a Lamprey fishman who, if he stood up straight, would be easily twice Sanji's height. He is uncannily long & lanky. His hair is dirty, oily & slick. Where his mouth should be, there are rows & rows of pointed teeth. No lips, just jagged spikes sticking in all directions from gums. There's no real way to close such a mouth, so lines of drool hang down from it. He's peering down at Sanji & reaching towards him. To the right is a catfish fishman, whiskered, mottled brown, and leaning forward towards Sanji. Gripped in his hand is a flintlock, and there are flip flops on his feet. Behind the catfish are two other figures; a web-footed fishman with hair like kelp who is holding a sack & looking at the cornered chef with amusement, and a grinning octopus fishman. Behind the pufferfish on the left are two more figures. Almost blocked from view is a figure with webbed hands & a tattered skirt. Towards the rail behind her is a shark-ish fishman, turned away. The scene is shrouded in a layer of fog, and the sky is dull.

Updated WIP for Chapter 1 of The Salty Swallow by @maiaspen.bsky.social
Tagged as graphic because I consider a lamprey's mouth on a humanoid to be something that warrants a warning!
#ficart #whump
A WIP of a digital illustration. A pufferfish inspired fishman and a lamprey inspired fishman are far too close to (live action version) Sanji. Sanji is realizing that, while trying to talk his way out of this without fighting (so that he wouldn't destroy the little ship that he and Zoro had borrowed), he has backed himself into a metaphorical corner.

If you like whump, especially Sanji whump, you need to read @maiaspen.bsky.social 's latest fic.
CW: blood, bruising, like a lot of blood, I maybe went overboard with the blood
#ficart #whump
Sanji, design based on the live action version as per the fic this is based on. He is shirtless, leaning forward against Zoro's hand, and completely out of it. He is pale as a ghost, bleeding profusely from the left side of his head, as well as from his nose, and not in the fun way. The blood dripping from his head has coated Zoro's hand where it supports the side of Sanji's face, and Sanji is grasping at Zoro's arm for some sort of stability or comfort. A dark bruise has started to form on the right side of his jaw, and his pupilsare blown out, signaling a concussion. In the background, faint words are written. The words come from Zoro, and they read: "COOK! Take it easy, Cook.. I'm here.. I've got you. You're okay..."

Nami is leaning into Zoro's nickname for her this Halloween season! 🎃 🧹
(WIP of an iconic scene from "A Part of Me" by @miss-pebbles.bsky.social )
#wip #ficart #nami #zoro #zosan #Halloween
A digital sketch of Nami and Zoro in Halloween costumes! Both are facing away from the viewer. Nami, dressed in a classic witch costume, is recording what is going on in front of them with one hand, the other hand waving at the figure just out of frame to the right(Sanji). Zoro, dressed as Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, is leaning forward towards Sanji, who is mostly off screen, except for one hand. This hand, sporting a skeletal glove, is being used to tilt Zoro's chin upwards slightly. There are Halloween decorations and a drink table sketched in the background.

DJ FRANKY LET'S GOOOOO

Modern au, real world au. Part of a sketch that shows Franky DJ-ing with an AWESOME setup; lots of lights and speakers, and the straw hat jolly Roger on the front of his DJ booth. There are some sketched figures in the midground. Franky is wearing a cropped, sleeveless fishnet top, and is wrapped in a ton of LEDs. He has a microphone in one hand, and is pointing upwards with the other.

Everyone say "Thank you Usopp!"
Really cute scene from @tookuni-faraway.bsky.social 's fic Candy in a Cave!
#zosan #ficart #Zoro #Usopp #strawhats #foundfamily #Franky #Brook #onepiece
Usopp grinning in a self-congratulatory manner, saying: "Ha! And you called me because I'm a fashion ✨️ genius ✨️, and you need my ✨️ expert advice!" Zoro is standing in the background, wearing a towel around his waist and looking a bit lost at the meager selection of clothing items he owns laid out on a bunk in front of him. Usopp has some bangles, rings, and a few necklaces and earrings because this man knows how to accessorize. He is wearing his blue and white striped armband, and a marigold-orange tank top, as well as his bandana. Zoro sitting on a bunk, still with the towel around his waist. He is resting his elbows on his thighs, holding still, and keeping his eye closed while Usopp holds his face still and very carefully applies makeup to the scar on the other side. Usopp looks very concentrated, his head is angled to the side and his younger is sticking out a bit as he focuses. Speaking of, the word "-focus-" is written above Usopp's head. Zoro is looking at the viewer, and it is implied that he is actually looking in a mirror at his own reflection, because he is saying: "yeah, that'll definitely shut him up" with an oh-so-smug little grin. As described in the fic, he is wearing a: "white suit, his black shirt open to reveal two chains whose gold, matching his earrings, seems to reflect off his tanned skin. From one of them hangs a shark tooth". His makeup is described as: "Instead of hiding his scar as one might expect, the sniper has turned it into a work of art, a long line inlaid with gold that catches the eye before it drifts to his mobile eyelid, adorned with a horizontal line of the same color. Zoro notices the black accent at the corners of his lower eyelids, and what looks like a small white cloud around the hollows of his nose." I hope my art has done such descriptive writing justice! In the background, a little Brook, Usopp, and Franky are all giving Zoro a thumbs up!!!
