Night of the Demon (1957)
The Descent (2005)
The Wicker Man (1973)

I am so far behind on #100HorrorFilmsIn92Days that it's not even funny

65) Violation (2021)

...I'm sure a film with this title will be one of those cheery fun horror films

I really liked this film. It made my top 20 of this year's #100HorrorFilmsin92Days
Currently watching: Blood Flower

Neat Malay horror film. If you ever wanted The Conjuring to be scarier and about plants, then highly recommend.

33) Butchers

Apparently this was popular enough to make a trilogy... never heard of it, let's see if it's worth the full investment

As much as I love following #100horrorfilmsin92days I still think one of my better decisions was to celebrate the season at my own liesurely pace & following my own weird little traditions each year - like makimg these grid posts of spooky treats, Scorched comics or lazy evenings scrolling for 🎃 on📱

Film 5 is a banger. German film but in English with Christopher Lee, THE TORTURE CHAMBER OF DR SADISM (1969) and my full live-skeet thread is quoted. Keep extending to see the full thing.

I can't spoil it, you need to see it.

Absolute trip.
VERY promising 1969 film I might watch.

It's called "The Torture Chamber of Dr Sadism"

I wonder if it's a romcom or something. The title is so ambiguous... /s

84. THE WASTELAND (2022)

Bleak Spanish horror about the pervasive, personified spectre of war and fear/dread of the future/world beyond the safe space, paranoia, and destruction in the microcosm of a small family (mother, father and son) in a cabin in the titular wasteland.

#100HorrorFilmsIn92Days 25/100: The Strangers (2008)

Damn. Not in a bad way, either...I just don't think I was fully prepared for the movie that this was lol. Talk about an exercise in building tension throughout a 90ish minute runtime. boxd.it/1VGY
The Strangers (2008)
After a 4 a.m. knock at the door and haunting voices, Kristen McKay and James Hoyt’s remote getaway becomes a psychological night of terror as three masked strangers invade. Now they must go far beyon...

My #100HorrorFilmsin92Days thread is not a thread, so I'm going to make it one.

Here it is.

1. SLUGS (1988) - mutant slugs, good gory creature feature exploitation film, someone's face explodes. I still feel a bit sick thinking about the guy who accidentally ate one.

9. SPIRAL (2019)

Not the SAW franchise film, but a slowburn gay couple in rural America in the 90s. Honestly - a lot of the horror comes from that, and the typical unsupportive partner dynamic where Malik knows what's going on and Aaron doesn't. Very on the nose allegory.

2. FROGS (1972)

Sticking with the ecohorror theme, these little masterminds take their revenge on a tyrannical patriarch and his family on their private island. All hail our amphibian overlords!

(86) La vendetta di Lady Morgan/Lady Morgan's Vengeance (1965) dir. Massimo Pupillo

Changing tempo as bedtime looms with some pulp Gothic drama. I'm baffled why they used "Morgan" (Welsh) then put everyone in kilts. But it's meant to be good.

Lady Morgan's Vengeance (1965)
A young woman is psychologically manipulated and tortured by her treacherous husband while her lost fiancé is missing, presumed dead, and only the ghosts of the castle can tell the tale.

3. BRAM STOKER'S VAN HELSING (2021)

A "High Fliers" production, only 7 characters and you never see the main vampire only his effect on Lucy. I liked that, actually. It's low budget, but I love Dracula adaptations and have seen worse. I liked it.

4. CANNIBALS AND CARPET FITTERS (2017)

Another "High Fliers" production, also low budget, bloody genius. Cockneys vs Zombies/Hot Fuzz on a shoestring meets a British, matriarchal Texas Chain Saw Massacre with a crossbow instead of a chain saw.

Fun.

5. THE TORTURE CHAMBER OF DR SADISM (1969)

He's a Count, not a doctor, and I live-skeeted my way through this one, which is every Poe trope/story scraped from the barrel and blended with a Dracula ripoff starring Christopher Lee as Count Regula - Gille de Rais / Dracula.
