Poor baby! We were cooling off in the mountains last month. Still 26C, but mountain reservoir. Half Jack Russell, half standard Poodle, 100% not a fan of 30C+! It was about 42C this day in the valley below

Last week and this week, our neighborhood recorded 100F(38C) average, and the highest so far was 108F(42C). Yet, less humid, so hot but not FUKAI(不快=uncomfortable)😅 Ok. Thank you so much for reading my Tweets. I'll bring new NETA(ネタ=something) next weekend😉

a slug🍚🐝🌱🦌💽🫙🚉, the way you captured this is just so cool! The grainy texture of the photo gives it such a mysterious and retro vibe, like a secret memory from a long time ago. I love how the digital display clearly shows 108F, and the way the needles are positioned on the scale adds so much

The Colorado River is shrinking. What happens next?
It was 42C (108F) degrees as we motored across Nevada’s Lake Mead in our rented pontoon boat. Colby Pellegrino with the Southern Nevada Water Authority wanted to show us something we shouldn’t have been able to see. She pointed toward a rock island where a large metal pipe was sticking out of the water. “That is the first intake that was built to bring municipal water into the valley in 1970,” Pellegrino said. It is part of the system that takes water from Lake Mead and brings it to Las Vegas. It was designed to sit deep underwater. “It is no longer part of how we get water to Las Vegas because the lake has dropped too much for this piece of infrastructure to be operable,” Pellegrino told us. Las Vegas’s bet on drier future Lake Mead is part of the Colorado River system and the largest reservoir in the United States. It is now at its lowest level since it was filled nearly 90 years ago. At less than 27% of its capacity, the cliffs surrounding the lake are marked by the dramatic decline. The white line of mineral deposits, or so-called “bathtub ring” left behind from when the...

It is reprehensible that there is no AC in many Texas prisons. Within the last month we have seen temperatures as high as 108F near Dallas—that does not include the heat index which could make the feels like 10 degrees higher. Now imagine sitting in a concrete box in that heat.

Here's the most important picture from our trip to Europe. Arraiolos, Portugal. This was the hottest day of the trip--42C or 108F. Oy! But, as they say, it was a dry heat... This was September 3rd, so I doubt this was the hottest day of the year in this part of the Iberian Peninsula.

It's 108F and the heat is oppressive, probably because of the humidity.

Seneca Lake Guardian has said that wastewater from the site flows directly into Lake Seneca at temperatures of up to 108F (42C), which can harm fish living in the lake and cause blooms of toxic algae.
A data center near Lake Seneca, New York, is facing criticism from the Seneca Lake Guardian organization. The site was previously a cryptocurrency mining data center, but has been transitioning towards handling AI workloads instead
Multiple data centers across Virginia are facing enforcement actions from local authorities for violating wastewater-wetland regulations. In one such case, data center under construction in West Virginia has funneled stormwater runoff into a local residential area, causing flooding on two occasions.

The dew point at my house is supposed to be 80. Fahrenheit. 80 FAHRENHEIT. I LIVE IN LOS ANGELES. THE HEAT INDEX WILL BE 114F.
(At my office in the valley it's going to be a much more reasonable 68F so even though the forecast is for 104F it will only feel like 108F.)
