At #Scotiacon it got to talk to people about its Taxonomic Anarchy model that it was inspired to make. People seemed to like it, so it decided to to make a better version of the image.

It also corrected the -zoa suffix, which was silly.

Welcome, fellow members of Homo Theriamorpha!!!

#therian

An edit of a big chart of Genus Homo's evolutionary lineage made by springlock87 via r/useful charts.

In this version, it has added an additional branch off of Homo Sapiens - That is to say, it placed the species "Homo Theriamorpha" to the side. It is dated at "1992CE" - which is around when the Therian community first truly formed in the modern day.

Theriamorpha's skull features a set of ears and a tail labeled as "?" - their additions are open to specific subspecies, after all :3c!

A closer zoom-in in the relevant section of the chart (the bottom, teehee~) that also features the mention of the Species Distinctions. It, being stupid, didn't keep this as seperate text and now needs to retype it all

"SPECIES DISTINCTIONS:
While not innate, Theriamorphs show a distinct affinity for replication of other taxa/genera while rejecting Genus homo. This can be both in their physical presentation but also in their behavioral aspects
Whereas Sapiens fill the niche of the Generalist, Theriamorpha have begun to deviate from this to specialize in the development of unique cultures. This can be seen in the art produced by this species.
Theriamorpha have been shown to include a wider range of species within their associative framework on average, including species that are typically considered distasteful to Sapiens.
Homo Theriamorpha can be broken down into a subspecies based on the particular emulated animal (or animals) that is relevant to them. e.g. Theriamorpha Vulpes, Theriamorpha Crocuta, Theriamorpha Corvus, etc."

VHS box, Story of O: The series (1994)

Story of O Comes to America week

Back in the mid-1990s when I was traveling I saw VHS tapes of an mystery adaption of Story of O in full public view on the shelf of random video rental store.

Returning home I was not able to find it locally.

It would be many years before I would learn "Story of O: The series" was a 10 episode softcore Brazilian television adaption produced in 1992 then released on VHS in the US in 1994 -https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0147791/

Eventually the complete series would be released on DVD

...More than once

(One particular edition would recycle art from The 1975 Story of O half sheet movie poster)

A 82 minute condenced version would be put out under the title Story Of O: Passion's Slave

The full series has been uploaded, uncensored, to the internet archive (nsfw, obviously)
