UK’s benefit rates are so low. How can anyone live on that. Ireland’s JSA is €254 per week.

For the UK pension credit unlocks other benefits, has a poor take up but it’s also unfair for those just on SP or SP/small pension. Those people face real hardship. £12.5k!
