#FluorescenceFriday: Given the recently grown interest in ciliary beating, here is a movie of beating cilia in a human airway model that I captured last week with lattice light-sheet microscopy. No AI „processing“, this is the raw data! Frame rate is ca. 170fps, displayed here at 25fps.

Just an animated ver. of the SilverxCanto starwatching. One can only do so much with 25fps limit.

erm it's actually 24fps that's why movies are 24fps and if you make it 25fps you can insert subliminal messages and turn people gay, of course

Pyjamarama for Acorn Electron (WIP). Colourised all furniture and checked all 30 rooms. Wally can now move around and jump 😎 (capped at 25fps like the ZX Spectrum original, colour clash not simulated 😉)

It's going to be really annoying to me personally when Control Resonant gets Steam Deck verified because it doesn't crash, despite running at like 17-25fps with ultra performance upscaling (on an 800p output).

everything is better @ 25fps

i got a copy of the leaked gta vi build and surprisingly it works okay-ish under proton (~25fps @ 1440p, rtx 3070, medium)

ive only gotten 5 hours into it so far and it's been fun, though the trans sister snuffbait puppygirl incest scene felt a little bit forced in there

it's weird listening to ~gamers~ talk like everyone in the world thinks 60fps is like the bare minimum for playing games.. like, nah, that's a fringe minority. most people are happy with almost anything above 25fps, as long as the framerate doesnt stutter

AI upscaled from 480p 25fps to 4K 60fps with 30 frames of input lag

5 intersecting rotating cubes, cpu-rasterized in correct order thanks to a custom depth buffer (aka uint32_t[width*height]). Right side shows the actual depth buffer values.
This works at a miserable ~25fps, but at least it works 😅

Not worried yet. Scrolling takes just over 1 frame's worth of time, then I've got another frame to do the rest (aiming for 25fps). I'm not even using SWRAM (yet)

"Wanted: Monty Mole" (WIP) on Acorn Electron. Took longer than expected because movement code is quite convoluted. Not perfect yet. Slowed down to target 25fps. Funny quirks in original game (and in mine): 1. No eye when walking right, 2. Walks slower on some tiles because constantly "falling"
