A rare example of a Scottish-built car, the Argyll Turbo GT was called 'a high performance gem for the discerning' in its mid-'80s sales leaflet. With prices set above a Porsche 911 Carrera or Ferrari 308GTB, it seems that (unsurprisingly) very few were made. #weirdcarbs

Great thread, but impossible to choose! Have seen some rare and iconic cars, and fortunate to have driven a tastefully modified 308GTB once upon a time. Most in one place was at the Historic Gold Cup races at Oulton Park. Acres of incredible and diverse machines

308GTBは横置MRなので，4WDなら前方に延びるプロペラシャフトを通さねばならないところにエンジンが横たわっているから通せない。
288GTOのように縦置にコンバートすれば不可能ではないかもしれないが，Cピラーあたりは延長されてないようだし，そこまでやったようには見えない。

I was reading an old period piece on the BB512 and the cost of federalizing a grey market one was something like $14k, or half the MSRP of a 308GTB.

Making the Boxer Ferrari legal cost as much as a Vette *and* a Camaro Z28.

It wasn’t liked. But neither was the Bertone designed 308GT4 before it, precisely because it broke with that curvy Pininfarina tradition. With hindsight, the 308GT4 looks great. Mondial is still a bit awkward, certainly in comparison to the beautiful 308GTB sister car
