Also one of the few series where I liked the books AND the movies: I can’t wait for the #magiciansnephew movie they just announced! #booksky

Coming in at post 2 for #30til30 is one of my favorite #spookyanthologies even when it’s not #halloween, #scarystoriestotellinthedark. This is actually another #book that I love all adaptations of; I know I said it’s rare and it is, don’t let the posts fool ya. I think I might watch it tonight🖤

#30til30 You ever #read a #book that instantly enrages you as soon as someone mentions it? Well, that’s how Mama felt about my 1st grade yearbook pic & that’s how I feel about #thesunalsorises. It irritated me so badly I didn’t finish it even though it was for a class. #booksky

#30til30 One of my favorite #magic systems comes from one of the first #bookseries that gave me serious trust issues 🤣 I don’t think I’d #read anything with🩸based powers until #redqueen or with such an array of different abilities. Definitely looking forward to checking out her other work too!

Today’s #30til30 would’ve been my Daddy’s birthday, so I’ll give you a #book on my #tbr that reminds me of him. We always loved going to #thegreatsmokymountains together for vacation, & #cadescove was one of our favorite places to ride through. It’s especially beautiful when the leaves are changing🖤

#30til30 I’ve always been an #animallover and a #booklover, so animal books were doubly great growing up. This particular series made me want to square up with a grown man over the titular dog, but that’s not really new for me 🤣 #books #shiloh #booksky

#30til30 If I remember, this picture is from when my Nanny passed, the first memories I have of experiencing #death up close. One of the stories in this anthology, “Smoke”, really resonated with me then, & my love of #paranormalstories would eventually serve as inspiration for #morsobliviscens 🖤💀

And for round 2 of #30til30 is my favorite #botanicalhorror novel, #dontlettheforestin by #cgdrews 💀 This is one of the most underrated and unique #books I’ve ever read, and I can’t wait to devour more of their work in the future🖤

Double whammy for #30til30 today because I was busy at a wedding yesterday. On that note, #theshadowhunterchronicles was probably one of the first series I #read where #romance was a major focus. Luckily all of my #ships are still together so I won’t complain too much lest Cassandra hear me🤣
