Here is a look at my TMNT Turtlecom, closer look at the map screen. It’s its own basic environment with every element even the text all 3d meshes rendered to look as retro and I could and just slapped in as an image sequence on a plane and part of the model.

Thus far, I haven't been finding crystals in 3d. I suppose it makes sense with the extra degree of freedom, but I also suspected a performance element: lots of these neat 2d crystals would be horrendously slow if you tried to run them at 200hz like I usually do in 3d

Hear me out: Zelda 2 can be AMAZING if Nintendo does a 3D remake. The backdrop of the story is simply amazing. The world is huge, and it's two continents. It can be open world, but also with a sailing element like Wind Waker! Plus focus on combat, since that was the main point of Zelda 2.
