I would pick this up but then I'd also need to get a midcentury house with lots of glass on a hillside in marin and a pair of 12' tall electrostatic speakers and, you know, where does it end

It is possible to earnestly love Van Gogh's sunflowers (or polaroids of gays on fire island, or midcentury modernism), and for this to be a legitimate aesthetic preference and not just a sign of immaturity.

I like this read -- Ginzberg's accent -- to explain how we got the weird spelling.

No clue how they could have failed so badly on translation, though?

I think I read it sstarted midcentury or something? Can't remember, only that I was surprised it wasn't earlier. Also surprised not everybody knew it that way.

It is extremely midcentury-coded to leave a playhouse standing on a hillside with a dangerous hole opening to a steep drop.

Don't fence it off or seal the door or anything.
