I have seen a couple of people my age, OAD (Old As Dirt), fussing about it not being the 80s version. I just want a fresh take with the heart of the original and the Reboot. I like the 3boot. I am blocking BendMessboot* form my brain.

It will be a beautiful book. I have a lot of trust in the creative team. I was secretly hoping the original Legion timeline could come back. The is my era, but I did love the Reboot, and came to enjoy the 3boot. This new version looks great and I like the set up. Finger crossed.

I skipped Blops 7 because it just looked like ass. I will most likely buy this though, because the Modern Warfare series has always held a special place in my heart, even though 3boot was fucking dog water.

I know a lot of long time fans felt betrayed by 3Boot and it was uneven. Waid shotgunned dozens of new concepts and interpretations. Some worked, others didn't. It was an interesting experiment though.

oh just wait.. I started as a Legion fan with the Waid/Kitson 3Boot and I think 5YL Legion is the worst Legion reboot we've ever had.
Also I think the Sook designs for the Bendis reboot were great.. just Bendis is not a strong enough writer to write Legion (and he made it all about Jon).

I am old a dirt, I was in my mid-20s when Crisis happened. My Legion is the Silver Age to Zero Hour one. I LOVE the reboot. I have enjoyed the 3boot. I need to finish the Supergirl part. I won't mention Bendis run. Yikes!

you might check out the 3boot era of the Legion if you haven't read it as I recall it dug more into that kind of divide, it used the Wanderers brand as an Earth Gov's internal legion style team, though I think maybe the Justice League from Action Comics works better for that

There was definitely a trope with female-feline characters that Catspaw suffered from, but I would gladly see her back. The constant focus on Brainy in 3boot (or any run) is always a sticking point for me.

I’ve loved a lot of Waid’s work although his 3boot LSH was uneven compared to his Zero Hour LSH IMO. The idea of Legion as pseudo-Ren-Faire take on Age of Heroes was cool but never quite given the legs to explore it over more active stories.

After the 3Boot ended, Geoff Johns restored a slightly modified version of the first Legion. It picked up an unspecified period of time after the cancellation of the original book but negated 5YL completely. Took a dofferent path. This is the Retroboot.

Sizzle was ridiculously cute and I liked the conciet that despite not being ready for the Legion they just brought her along anyway as a trainee. Another example overcomplicating things during the 3Boot unnecessarily.
