I rewatched Over The Garden Wall for the first time, and as a 40something who hates the nostalgia bait trend, I especially *love* OTGW because, along with Lisa Frankenstein, it's the only throwback media that actually reminds me of or feels like what the stuff I grew up with was actually like.

We had a male special-needs son and never considered teaching him to shoot, or buying him a gun. He's 40something now, hasn't ever been aggressive but still...it's just plain stupid because even if he'd ever been seen with a gun, and acted the least bit "off" someone would've shot him.
