Spoorbond stuurt brandbrief over toenemend geweld tegen NS-personeel
De vakbond voor spoorpersoneel VVMC heeft een brandbrief gestuurd naar de politiek om de veiligheid van NS-medewerkers te bespreken. De bond signaleert een alarmerende toename van agressie en geweld tegen conducteurs en ander spoorpersoneel, die vaker worden mishandeld, bedreigd of bespuugd. Het aantal meldingen van agressie en geweld tegen NS-medewerkers laat een scherpe stijging zien. In 2023 werden 2672 incidenten geregistreerd, wat opliep tot 5696 in 2024 en verder steeg naar 6442 in 2025. Dit jaar, 2026, zijn tot op heden 5088 meldingen gedaan.
