The importance too is, this is why a wheel on a car only goes in one direction, to maximize ACCURACY (rate of precision, akin to how fast we can be precise).
This is also why 6axis joysticks (one hand, six axis) didn't take off in the 1990's.

I literally said artists learn NOT to do that. Ie shoulder based drawing vs wrist based.
If we look at 6axis. The average person wants to use finger based then wrist based then arm based.
Many illustrators use wrist straps to lock their wrists in place to protect their wrists from that tendency.
