Got the ZX Spectrum +2 around launch time as an early Christmas present. It was used nearly every single day up until April 1993 when I moved over to the SAM Coupe.

kyd was doing this on an a500. 4 channels and 512k, every drum hit is a sample slot he had to budget. you can hear the tracker in the mix.

The 14" TV from downstairs 😮
It was tight with just that and the speccy.
The A500 really pushed the space limits...iirc I had to use the mouse on an adjacent table 🤦🏻♂️😂

I had a discussion with non coder friends just about that who produced an LLM port of SlapFight/Alcon for Amiga 030 AGA 8MB RAM (and that’s great, good for them).
But they could not believe when I told them no more than an A500 1MB was needed for that game. If you ain’t a coder you can’t know that.
