Meta on the other hand is doing a GB200-NVL36x2 design with a 1:1 Grace/Blackwell-CPU/GPU ration for a more relaxed weight distribution and cooling. The compute trays are located in two racks, with two whitespace racks on the right and left, in which the AALC is located.

1) Is the a report? Not that I'm aware of. But if you search for info online about AALC the companies selling it (e.g., Motivair) name-check big companies like Meta and Microsoft. It is more expensive than adiabatic, but the companies are forced to use AALC because it cools better.... 1/3

Things have changed: many big data centers have switched from adiabatic cooling to air-assited liquid cooling. AALC is a closed loop for liquid. So no, they don’t use much water compared to other land uses. They still use incredible amounts of power and land but water usage isn’t terrible anymore.
