We are 10 years into the failed YIMBY project, and it’s clear that the for profit real estate industry is not coming to the rescue to deliver housing for the working class.

AB 309 was signed into law! #AB309 preserves life-saving measures that reduce disease and save taxpayer dollars. By allowing pharmacists to provide sterile syringes and provide counseling, testing, and safe disposal, CA expands access to care, keeps people alive, and makes recovery more possible.

Don't reply often, so apologies, but the YIMBYs Klein is batting for in terms of housing policy specifics, have lobbied for Social Housing with a similar model across a few states. CA YIMBY explicitly has endorsed it. (eg AB309 in 2023 + other past/recent iterations).
