This is what kills me about the "it's trendy" assumption about autism and adgd self-diagnosis...
It's a bigger social penalty than anything else, and the doubt just makes that penalty worse.

Disability socially marginalizes you. There are so many layers of cultural values about ability and labor, dehumanizing representations of disability, the ways people build their senses of self, and more that disincentivizes self-identifying as disabled, much less going further to self-advocate.

its crazy bc theres multiple other projects that came from adgd that had great levels of comercial success and every single one of them realized that keeping the chud shit up was bad optics (well, nonchuds also used the thread but post-2016 i don't think there's many of those around lol)

It is SO much worse than just one dev.
The official server is run like 4chan, with a bot conveniently auto-replacing slurs. They also have their *own* code phrase to refer to trans people, and permit all sorts of awful things said there.

What do you mean pre-ADGD diagnosis? As someone that also has ADHD does that mean that you have since learned of ways to work with it or take medication for it that actually works/helps you? If so- I am really curious to find out what changed/what you learned RJ!

Yeah, looking at my behaviours I would be amazed if I'm not ASD (and I suspect part of the reason I got such a quick assessment was because it's likely fairly clear) but I suspect I might have ADHD as well, only the ADGD behaviours are relatively low level and not really an issue per se
