If the ADSB exchange nerds play their cards right we could make it illegal for military planes to turn off their transponders, solving a lifelong misery for one specific kind of completionist weirdo

If it was indeed a training flight with ADS-B intentional turned off, Pete Hegseth needs to resign now. You don't do that at night, low altitude, deep inside a busy Bravo airspace right into the path of final approach!

normal Portland Friday night things: sitting on your friend's porch listening to choppers and cessnas and then checking ADSB exchange to see which craft are running with their transponders off or without callsigns and which you can actually document.

Apr 2024 shows the jammer SW of St Petersburg, geo-located both with open ADSb-data and via a movie with a drone loosing GPS in Narva, Estonia.
The drone clip allowed me to paint a very local radio horizon, matching perfectly with my radio horizons from ADSb.

This the state of AIS in and around Kaliningrad nowadays. Russia is evolving their spoofing tech. They have previously used spoofing to make false claims.

The local Kaliningrad navy tugs and others (but not all) are all over the place nowadays, commonly on the Polish countryside (per false AIS).
