✨🌈🏳️‍⚧️🦊HAPPY PRIDE MONTH 🦊🏳️‍⚧️🌈✨

Hanan and Pax’s first Pride month out in the world!!! I am so proud of my boys 🫶🏻

The world is not always a welcoming place for queer folks, but we always always always have each other. We are so strong and full of love and light!! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

The book cover of A Fix Of Light by Kel Menton on a pastel rainbow gradient background. Small black arrows point out from the book to different tropes or features in it. They read: Gay MMC, Trans + bisexual MMC, putting the TRANS in TRANSFORMATION, angst + yearning, friends to lovers, non-binary queer forest creature, hurt + comfort, sapphic best friend.

Today is the day Hanan tried to die.

Féile na Bealtaine, when summer begins, and Hanan touches magic for the first time. 🌳✨🦊🪨🌻🌈

Today is a great day to start reading A Fix of Light ☀️

#afixoflight #feilenabealtaine #bealtaine #spéirgorm
A screenshot of the first page of A Fix of Light by Kel Menton. It reads: PROLOGUE 🌿 BEALTAINE The forest opened one sleepy eye. It had not had a visitor in a very long time. The thicket let out an almighty yawn and the visitor, a boy, took the opportunity to step into the forest's mouth. It swallowed him whole. There was no going back, but he wasn't afraid. He walked until he was lost. He was bleeding already; his blood left a trail on the moss behind him. The moss forgot his footprints but remembered his blood The boy looked at the trees. Will I become another wind chime here, limbs clattering together in the wind? The pain in his chest, in his wrists, was just enough to keep him moving forward. It felt like his ears were full of water, full of pressure, and swirling, muffled sound. He would not look over his shoulder. He would not look over his shoulder. He would not look over his shoulder.

“He kept his eyes fixed on his shoe until the last possible moment, focused on re-tying his laces like it took his full concentration. When he finally lifted his gaze, Pax’s green eyes were there, waiting for him.”

A Fix of Light – Kel Menton
*I received a free copy of this book, with thanks to the author, Little Island Books and Graeme Williams of Graeme Williams Marketing. The decision to review and my opinions are my own.* Blurb: The boy turned to face Hanan. He lifted one hand and let the light play on his fingers. Not light, a thread. A single golden thread, drifting like a cobweb, strong as steel.

A FIX OF LIGHT by Kel Menton @littleislandbooks.bsky.social Is the HOT Read & Review. Uncompromising yet truly Beautiful YA romantic fantasy fiction about young love, life, and the sometimes cruel path to discovering the real you, within & without. erinthecatprincess.blogspot.com/2025/02/a-fi...
Set against a blue night sky, stars twinkle. Pax and Hanan, our protagonists, stand on each side facing each other. The book title falls between them, the word 'LIGHT' brighter and illuminating the boys' faces in a pale dusky pink. A golden thread weaves a path through the title and links each boy's heart. Between them and at the bottom of the cover are the dark shapes of semi-lit row of houses. A red fox with a white tipped tail and white chest and neck runs from right to left.
