Love to give the strikers a little beep and hear everyone else giving them little beeps, a small bit of solidarity is weirdly emotional

Tech companies generate billions for the Irish exchequer in corporation tax, so they have a considerable amount of power and sway over the Irish government, writes illustrator Harry Burton. "This reminds me of the power and sway the Catholic Church had over previous governments and politicians."

Government should rethink the message we are sending to people who have come to Ireland and made an extraordinary contribution to Irish life.

What they are hearing from Government is that they are not welcome here, and that is wrong. It is particularly wrong, given our history of migration.

The gender pay gap in Ireland is shrinking rapidly, dropping from 14% in 2017 to 8% recently. The gap is smaller here than in most countries, and is similar to that in the Netherlands and just a bit above Sweden's. Can we eliminate it entirely within the next decade? 🇮🇪
