#AI-Slop-DataCentres
Datacentres are a menace. Don’t approve them. We can cope without AI generated slop.

I knew it was bad but holy God I just found out that those useless AI slop datacentres don't just need water but need DRINKING WATER

Catharina Doria has it 💪🏾🤩

Read, write, think.
Go to art & culture to stay brilliant, continue to grow & say no to generative AI slop.

Save me from the fuckwits who create lists!!🤦‍♀️

Ive now been called an “LLM spreader”

Had to look it up 🤔
So. I spend half my time here arguing against the spread of datacentres
And against the intellectual property theft and job losses of AI and its slop
But some clueless nutjob accuses me of LLM🤷‍♀️

No it is not "in the cloud", but very much down to Earth.

And #ClimateEmergency not the only threat - what about water and other resource use?

So we can have such #AI slop as "shrimp Jesus"?

The "YOU NEED TO STOP EATING MEAT IF YOU CARE ABOUT WATER WASTE" vegans on every post about AI slop/Datacentres etc. boil my piss.

You can be concerned about two things at once, but also, AI is emergent, it's better to nip something in the bud early on.

AI needs to go, stop whattabouting it.

Is there a really good critique of #datacenters circulating yet?
Emissions
Environmental impact
Water use and toxic waste
Energy guzzling
Heat production
Noise pollution
Data used for surveillance
AI slop
AI intellectual property theft

The UK government is now prioritising the resource needs of Gen AI slop machines over… *checks notes*

Water. Actual water.

What will they not sacrifice at the altar of these plagiarism machine snake oilers??

AI boom means regulator cannot predict future water shortages in England
Datacentres, which do not have to report amount of water used to cool servers, leave Environment Agency with no idea of shortfalls

One thing unsourced Ancestry trees have over AI slop is that they're not the result of massive AI datacentres built by the most cartoonish billionaire villains to destroy small communities & the environment just so they can be in on a failing trend! I'll take them any day over AI. #Genealogy

You can have for & against groups on any project; both groups will understand the project's purpose. The data centres haven't been explained to Australians. They see Trump posting AI slop & don't get it. Why do we need them & what's with all the water? #auspol www.theguardian.com/australia-ne...

Agree, the world is beautiful. Whey then use AI slop to make that point?
The datacentres used by these AIs are destroying exactly the beauty you show!

If you’re wondering what this is about: everything. RPG books. Choice TV partnerships. AI datacentres. Age verification—

Constant choices made without thinking. The dismissal of stated values, thoughtful effort, all for slop and hurt that threatens us all at worst, or our brands at minimum.
February 24, 2026 at 4:53 PM
I really dislike that this push for hyperscale ai is giving datacentres a bad name.

Not all DCs are water hungry monsters generating ai slop 24/7.
November 18, 2025 at 1:14 AM
What type of ‘Ai’ are these datacentres supporting ? The overhyped ‘Ai’ LLM and media generative slop that fosters fraud, abuse against the public, creative theft, enables students of all ages to essentially cheat blocking critical/creative thinking or special purpose ‘Ai’ used in sciences ? #auspol

WTF? Time for #Europe to OVERTURN that #EU-Law that ALLOWS, the #BillionaireTech-#AI-Slop-Peddlers to BLOCK #Public-access to information on #DataCentres and the UNTOLD DAMAGE they cause to peoples lives!
April 17, 2026 at 9:48 PM
My problem is that if "AI is a tremendously costly waste of resources" were true it would go away on its own and we'd be okay

It's not, it's practically fucking free to generate AI slop even if the datacentres go away
August 8, 2025 at 4:27 PM
Lots of the bad-for-society parts of AI - slop image generation, revenge porn, AI "girlfriends", deepfake scams - don't need any datacentres to run
