btw when I went to turn these off I noticed that something called AICore (which I have completely blocked and disabled) was eating like 2g of storage before I cleared its data. so just a heads up if you've got that one on your phone lmfao

found out "AICore" was eating 4gb of space on my phone, but also found out i can clear the space and just disable it with no ill effects. even got rid of the insipid "ai summary" of /the weather/, which leaves room on the screen for me to actually see the weather

For anyone else that refuses to let Google force them to use Gemini & other AI garbage:
Go into your apps and make sure that you have disabled Gemini & AICore.
Otherwise they will keep draining your battery and harvesting your data regardless of if you use it or not

i absolutely do not recommend going into your system app settings and disabling & uninstalling all updates for the aicore app because you'll end up with 5gb of extra storage (wasted real estate) and lose access to all ai features (very sad) do not do that!!!

Disabling AICore on my pixel gave me back like 10 gigs of space AND ALSO made everything faster, including the shit it was used for like screenshots. So glad we're giving all the current and future compute power to companies so we can keep making this shit
