It's been 17 years, and the game is releasing at an AAA price point.

I feel like I've been mobbed a few more times than I expect. Out of nowhere like 10+ dudes or 8+ dogs will just appear and absolutely rock my shit. But yea Alife2 seems either poorly tuned or not yet fully implemented

with that in mind, don't rush to play it, wait for the patches that fix the really important bugs (but hopefully not the jank) and the reimplementation of Alife2.
