Dr. Roger Wakimoto opens the ‘severe storms and mesoscale meteorology’ session on Day 3 of the radar conference in #Toronto. As usual, Fujita-like attention to detail in his analysis. Not surprising because he worked closely with Dr. Fujita, developer of the original F scale, years ago. #AMS41Radar

The latest edition (October) of BAMS highlights our presentation at #AMS41Radar on the relationship between "Immense" supercell updrafts and tornadoes (attached). Working on a more complete paper to submit soon (or in 2026 or in 2027 🤥). Anyway, check it out!
