De politie heeft op Schiphol een man (33) aangehouden die een scandienst voor malware-ontwikkelaars zou hebben aangeboden. Via die dienst konden malware-ontwikkelaars controleren of antivirussoftware hun bedenksels konden detecteren. Volgens het OM waren de verdachte en zijn bedrijven 'een belangrijke schakel' bij het plegen van cybercrime. De aanhouding volgt na het offline halen van scandienst AvCheck, mei 2025. Informatie uit dat dossier leidde tot een nieuw onderzoek naar de verdachte en zijn bedrijven.
