Unfortunately for McAfee, this particular antimalware update...actually tagged the *actual* Windows Services Host program (svchost.exe) *as malware*, and deleted or quarantined said program (as antimalware suites do)
Which locked up PCs, and sent them into BSoDs.

haha so after many years of struggling with my laptop being slow the moment i took it out of the box, i finally looked into it and made a fix on the antimalware sucking up every resource and now it's way more normal. YEARS.
