sending my resignation to the brilliant bride and the genderless groom #AbsurdTheatre
Two black-and-white illustrations. Left: Full-body illustration of Bianka and Eric in a dilapidated room with exposed wiring in the ceiling lights and cracks in the wall plaster. Bianka, a fat pale woman with long, wavy, light-coloured hair, wearing a short frilly dress and matching hair bow a bit like a magical girl outfit, leans into Eric's arm and leers at him while Eric lines up his coin toss. Right: Full-body illustration of Bianka and Eric in profile their bed, against the backdrop of a moonlit sky. Bianka, in her short nightdress, draws Eric closer with a hand on his shoulder and a smile on her face. Eric, undressed from the waist up with his top surgery scarring visible, holds himself up between Bianka's legs with a look of pure joy on his face. His engagement ring gleams in the moonlight. 3 panel comic in a soft watercolor style, titled "The Absurd Carving of Ayumu Kuroaki". Panel 1: Eric, dressed vaguely like a vampire, is surrounded by pumpkins carved to look like Bianka and Yanhua. He is holding up one pumpkin resembling Ayumu. Panel 2: From off-screen, someone calls out: "Oh, Eric! You forgot about one poor little pumpkin!" Part 3: Eric looks back, unimpressed at the punch line: Ayumu is sitting on the floor, wearing a pumpkin-themed outfit exposing his thighs and belly. He is smiling at him expectantly while casually holding a knife.

Black-and-white illustration of Eric excitedly yapping about his special interest, with Bianka and Ayumu by his side, both linking arms with him and looking at him longingly. A tumblr post points to Eric like a speech balloon; it reads: forever and always insane about the fact that haunting means "heimsuchen" in german which literally translates to "homeseeking". a haunting is a search for a home you can never return to Another tumblr post points to Bianka and Ayumu like a thought balloon; it reads: call me a ghost the way heimsuchen that dick

Minimal-shading color illustration of Eric, Ayumu, Bianka, Yanhua, and Canan from The Absurd Theatre of Eric Hanada. Eric sits nonchalantly looking at an open book he's holding, one arm around Bianka, whose limbs and mouth are stitched up. Ayumu clings to Eric, obsessively looking up at him. Yanhua is in the back, grinning as she looks at the contents of the book. Canan is only seen from behind, her ponytail swaying to the side. Text reads: 2026.10.18, Happy Birthday, Eric

"Angel" is the German word for "fishing rod" #AbsurdTheatre #rkgk
Chibi sketch of (from left to right) Yanhua, Bianka, Eric, and Ayumu. Yanhua and Bianka are wearing angel costumes with cheap halos and wings. They're looking unimpressed at Eric, dressed casually in black, holding up a fishing rod with taiyaki bait that Ayumu is about to take happily. Ayumu's halo is dripping suspiciously, and both it and his wings are dark. Eric looks mildly confused at Bianka, with a speech bubble showing the German flag and a question mark. Bianka simply replies, "No."

Black-and-white 3-panel comic labeled "The Alternate Theatre of Ayumu Kuroaki #2". Eric and Ayumu are having a magic fencing moment of crossing blades, surrounded by spirit butterflies. Panel 1: Eric, angry: "Then stop it! Just be Ayumu! Just be my annoying, exhausting, selfish, suicidal, attention-whoring friend and TALK to me!" Panel 2: Ayumu, scoffing: "You still want to talk? Find a solution? For a jolly life, a happily ever after?" Panel 3: Ayumu, leaning into Eric's personal space, blushing: "Maybe if you also call me your pretty little slut?" Eric, visibly done with his shit: "Ayumu."

A commission I did over half a year ago for my dear friend @caede.sanctuary17223.com for their book The Absurd Theatre of Eric Hanada!

(ooh, the times when only very few people knew Ayumu existed!)

#AbsurdTheatre #illustration
A digital illustration of Eric and Ayumu. They are in the background in the upper half of the image. Ayumu looks crazed and pretty unwell ngl, Eric holds up a spider lily and looks really cool doing magic with his eyes closed. In the lower half you can see them sitting on a bench. Ayumu is bashful that Eric deigns to touch him. Eric just looks at straight-faced.

Black-and-white illustration of Eric, Bianka, Ayumu and Yanhua from The Absurd Theatre of Eric Hanada posing around a throne-like chair adorned with skulls at the top. Eric sits casually on the chair, with Bianka sitting on top of him in only her underwear and thigh-high socks. Yanhua sits on the armrest, confidently smiling as she looks over her shoulder. Ayumu is kneeling in front of the chair, admiringly leaning into and holding Eric's leg as he's pulled by the leash on his collar. They're all looking at the viewer like the little weirdos they are.

Black-and-white 3-panel comic labeled "The Alternate Theatre of Ayumu Kuroaki #1" Panel 1: Eric sits on his hospital bed; his eyes are out of frame. "Hey, Kuroaki-kun." "Hmm?" "Now that we've saved each other's lives and everything ..." "Mh-hmm." Panel 2: Eric, with a nonchalant look on his face, asks: "Why don't we fuck-" He's interrupted by a very happy-looking Ayumu yelling: "YES!" A third speech balloon finishes Eric's sentence: "-the script." Panel 3: Contrasted against a fully black background, Eric folds his hands. "Why don't we fuck THE SCRIPT and go by our first names?" Ayumu looks over his shoulder, smiling awkwardly. "It would be my pleasure, Eric."
