Chrono Trigger in 2.5HD style (like Octopath/LiveALive/Dragonquest 3 remake) with some quality of life/accessibilty options. Please and thank you.

Accessibilty my ass! It takes accessibilty to other languages away!

And just to get this off my chest: STOP CONFUSING ACCESSIBILTY TOOLS THAT HAVE EXISTED FOR DECADES WITH LLM/AI. IN FACT, STOP CONFUSING ALL OF THIS STUFF.

A simple version of a dancing ttrpg that can actually be overplayed on another system:

Assign actions/abilities to movements, and then you use those movements to call those out in play.

(For accessibilty, moves can be seated or standing)

A silver lining to this annoying era in tech is I now get opportunities to write code myself and make accessibilty fixes without debating everyone.

Case in point: accessibilty.

Things that keep me awake at night - @lolaodelola.bsky.social’s proposal of a prefers-alt-text media query 🤔 #accessibilty
Ooooh, what if we hid the images on a page and showed the alt text instead! What kind of website would you have? #AllDayHey thank you @lolaodelola.bsky.social

saw a guy in a store wearing a Friday the 13th movie hockey jersey and signed (ASL) from outside, "I love your shirt."

they smiled BIG & signed back "Thank you."

and this is why things like accessibilty is great for everyone. communication!! wow!! amazing!!

any framing of genAI as some kind of "accessibilty" thing feels disingenuous at best and just straight-up lying at worst
Getting called petit bourgeoisie by strangers for advocating against turning over the few remaining protections artists have from getting completely absorbed by AI slop is exhausting. I don't own shit, I have no money, I just want my friends who create things to be able to reliably pay their rent.

I’d be so much happier if everyone did this. Lots of benefit from pascal case. #Accessibilty

#AccessIsNotThatHardActually
PSA from the Bluesky "It's A Feature, Not A Bug" files: when you post your hashtags, it's good to use #PascalCase (capitalize each word in the tag). That'll allow screen readers to pronounce the tags in a comprehensible way. But that works everywhere, not just here on Bluesky.

I highly recommend going to Settings -> Accessibilty -> Alt Text and toggle on "require alt text before posting".
Then it's impossible to forget!

Anyway. These agencies just rotate the pitch. They never do any of the ACTUAL work, btw. The net outcome is always a single snazzy video. A single photography session. A homepage and course page 'mockup' (desktop not mobile, of course)

And a 'brand bible' that doesn't pass basic accessibilty tests.

…and a CTV crew is coming out to document my experiences regarding snow removal and accessibilty.

if you dare bring up brolylegs while advocating for less accessibilty options you should commit toaster bathtub
March 29, 2025 at 7:25 PM
If we lived in a timeline that actually made sense we would still be doing this instead of hoping accessibilty can be automated by AI.

More fences, leaving no accessibilty, while forcing our unhoused neighbors into less safe spaces. Total lazy, unempathetic b.s.
I get steamed about this kind of crap. These bridges and sidewalks are bare minimum mobility for people screwed by freeway infrastructure. www.minnpost.com/cityscape/20...
