Great news in #Oxford where a local campaign highlighting that ads on a dangerous roundabout were not welcome has been successful! 🥳 #BetterWithoutBillboards #AdEnough
Oxford City Council has withdrawn its application to show advertising boards at the Plain roundabout. The previous permission had expired, and the application for renewal was widely criticised on safety grounds. The withdrawal means there is no legal permission for continued display of adverts.

Great news that junk food ads will disappear from our screens but what about outdoor ads that can be seen by anyone at any time? Many councils are already putting children's health before corporate profit by banning these ads locally but a full national ban is what is really needed #AdEnough
The Government has sent a clear message to the food & drink industry that the days of advertising unhealthy food to children on TV before 9pm or any time online are over.

This is the first step to consigning advertising of unhealthy food to the dustbin of history
