A notebook on Spanish snails is this week’s #NewAccession. What’s the connection with Derbyshire? Well that would be the book's owner, snail expert Matilda Sophia Lovell, who lived at Calke Abbey for over 30 years, being sister-in-law to Sir John Harpur-Crewe, 9th Baronet.
