The main reason he doesn't is he can't attune to them.

Marina's surrounded by enough scholarly types who can assure her the bonds of the soul keep it together during aetheryte transit, so she's never been particularly afraid of it.
That said, she can't teleport herself anymore. She can piggyback with someone else, but is quite aethersick after.

In canon, Cae'a uses his chocobo when in Eorzea, rides his Yol when in the far east, an amaro when in the First and an alpaca when in Tural.
He could teleport his chocobo with him around Etherys, but Choco gets extremely aethersick with bigger distances.

Eve can get a little aethersick when it comes to longer travel (like traveling from the Source to the First) but simple travel between aethernets in towns don't bother her
that second bit is something she doesn't really learn to harness properly until stormblood however. The connection also powers her red magic- since it gives her body extra aether, it thus powers her red magic, so her endurance is wild. It does have its drawbacks tho, she can get aethersick easily
